I have been very fortunate in the past week to experience a taste of the Bombay Sapphire lifestyle.
Last week saw the North American final of Bombay Sapphire’s Most Imaginative Bartender take place in London. We took along three trade journalists to the event in the Rumpus Rooms at the Mondrian hotel. After three days of tough tasks, the ten finalists were battling it out to win the people’s choice award, as well as find out who would be crowned as victor. Ten amazing cocktail creations were on offer for us to judge, all inspired by the North American bartenders’ experience throughout the week. It was a tough job, but someone had to taste them all!
This week I visited the home of Bombay Sapphire, Laverstoke Mill distillery with The Grocer magazine. We met Sam Carter, Bombay’s senior brand ambassador, to discuss what’s happening at the distillery.
The distillery is a brilliant place that really shows Bombay’s commitment to making excellent gin and shows off its sustainability and eco credentials. The distillery is open to the public, so if you find yourself in Hampshire then do pay a visit!
All in all it has been fantastic to see how the brand engages with bartenders, as well as consumers and have a behind the scenes experience. Anyone for a gin and tonic?
