As we all eagerly await the arrival of the warmer seasons, some of us may have more than a spring clean in mind to refresh our homes. Here at Publicasity we have insight into all the latest SS16 trends that are set to take over the world of interiors; from attending industry events such as the Homes & Garden Designer Awards to keeping our eyes on all things interiors for our own client’s look book shoots and planning. New collections and trends range from everything from bold, modern geometrics to refreshing blue hues. See below for inspiration on how to update your home for spring.

Spring Refresh

Sharp geometric patterns are back for 2016, modernising walls for the spring/summer season. Designs in striking colourways bring a contemporary look to this trend. If understated is more your style try asymmetric designs in muted and subtle hues. Always a popular trend for the warmer season, pastel hues return with an updated look of a watercolour palette. Soft colours will give a feminine, vintage vibe to your interiors – think ice cream tones such as pretty pinks, refreshing greens and lovely lilacs.

Colour of the Season

There is no mistaking that blue is the colour of SS16 when it comes to interiors. Associated with peace, harmony and happiness this shade is set to embrace walls. Whether you prefer a strong cobalt, or a muted aqua there is certainly a shade to suit your personal style. Reminiscent of the aqua waters seen on unforgettable holidays, aqua is perfect for vintage interiors, as well as sleek, contemporary homes. Combine aqua shades with earthy toned furnishings to bring a touch of colour to your interiors. Alternatively, simple designs in striking shades can be coupled with bold, bright accessories such as fuchsia to create the perfect backdrop for plain furnishings.
