On 12 January 2014 we completed our seventh consecutive London Boat Show, celebrating its 60th Anniversary at the ExCel Centre, London. The nine-day Show was overflowing with all things marine with over 400 exhibitors on display and over 75 boats making their debuts, and we were responsible for liaising with key broadcast, print and online media to celebrate the momentous event which highlights the best of the UK marine industry.
We invited key media to attend the event alongside crowds of consumers, who marvelled at the new products on display with stunning boats such as: the Princess V48 Open; the 100th build of the Fairline Squadron 78 and the unique customised Williams Performance Tenders Turbojet 325, a pink edition which was auctioned in aid of Breast Cancer Care with the aid of popular television presenter Suzi Perry.
Opening day highlights included special appearances by comedian, James Corden, who teamed up with Sunseeker to launch the new eagerly awaited Sunseeker 75 Yacht and Olympic Gold Medallist, Sir Ben Ainslie who showcased his J.P.Morgan BAR AC45 catamaran as he greeted the crowds.
It wasn’t all work and no play as we were able to sneak a peek at the spectacular Massey Shaw water cannon display and witness visitors trying to stay afloat as they revelled in the sporting activities on offer in the Waterpool.
We all had a fantastic time attending the diamond anniversary Show and we’re proud to say we surpassed our coverage targets for 2014.
