Breathing Colour
A new exhibition at the Design Museum by Hella Jongerius’s is most definitely worth exploring. Give yourself plenty of time so you can lose yourself in the depths of colours on display. The exhibition boosts some sensational colour palettes and mesmerising light effects; I even discovered colour within areas of shade where Jongerius experiments with her concept of ‘evening’. Shadows creep over everyday objects almost lifting them and bringing them to life. According to Jongerius:
“Shadows and shadow tones also merge and overlaps as objects project shadows onto themselves, as well as onto other objects”.
It’s pretty enlightening stuff so if you get time, do head on over.
