Neil Kleiner

Publicasity has today announced that it has appointed Neil Kleiner as Strategic Director of Digital and social media. Neil will also work with fellow Porta-owned agency Newgate Communications.

Neil has been a leading expert in digital and social media communications for nearly 20 years, having been most recently head of social and content for Golin, and led social media in the UK for Havas Media.  He has worked with many of the world’s leading brands, and has been responsible for transforming and setting up a wide range of creative, PR and media agencies.

At Publicasity and Newgate he will continue to provide senior strategic advice to organisations about how to position and promote themselves, and enhance their reputations, via creative and impactful social media and broader online campaigns.  He will add an extra dimension to the digital and social media both agencies deliver across brand PR, consumer engagement, financial PR and investor communications, corporate communications, crisis and issues management, public affairs and stakeholder engagement.

Neil said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to my new roles at Publicasity and Newgate.  Both agencies are growing rapidly and I am thoroughly looking forward to working on many exciting opportunities with existing and future clients.  It is increasingly important to integrate a well-positioned digital offering in to all communications and marketing campaigns to enhance a firm’s reputation via social media and wider online work. I look forward to further building Publicasity and Newgate’s expertise in this area.”

Zoe Ward Waring, Managing Director of Publicasity, said: “Neil’s appointment marks a key milestone for Publicasity, as we are about to significantly expand our digital and social offer. His vast experience will bring a strategic digital and social lens on every campaign as part of our multichannel approach to modern communications and we are very excited about him being an integral part of our team.”

Gavin Devine, Chief Executive of Newgate, said: “Neil’s arrival at Newgate represents another important step in the growth of our business. His expertise will be invaluable, both in terms of the advice he can give directly to clients and the way that he will improve the knowledge and capability of our whole team.  He will make a transformative impact.  I am delighted to have him as part of the Newgate senior team.”
