It’s been a busy few months here at Publicasity Towers! Since May we’ve been launching the F&F AW17 collection – firstly here in London before heading to Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava and finally wrapping up in Budapest. With a few more stamps in our passports and many Instagram snaps later, we’ve finished our grand Euro trip until next season.
While we send off F&F’s shearling coats and woolly hats for magazines to shoot, it’s been interesting to reflect on the events and how each country differs from the UK, and from each other. No, we’re not talking about the beer (that’s another blog post for another day) or the weather, it’s the little differences that have been fascinating…
One size does not fit all:
- Colour boost – While us UK-dwellers love a neutral, across Central Europe they love patterns, brights and colour, colour, colour – each country having their own favourite pieces. Seeing media reactions to some of our bolder pieces has been really inspiring and has made us look at key pieces differently
- Picture this – Media across every country were snapping away at the collection but interestingly, our Central European friends fully immerse themselves in the experience and like to try on the clothes and become the star of their own social media channels – such a great way to show off the collection!
- It’s in the details – Little touches make the event. While we had F&F branded balloons and Prosecco in the Czech Republic, there were F&F branded throw pillows in a luxury apartment in Budapest and luxury chocolate in a gallery in Slovakia. Every country took the brand guidelines and created something fun and cool that would really resonate with their media – we’ve definitely taken some tips home with us
- Delicious dishes and drinks – From pierogis to goulash, and loads of bread and cheese in between, we sampled the national dishes along our tour, and a few drinks here and there. And we learned a nip of Prague delicacy, Slivovice (plum brandy), will give you the best night’s sleep! You can thank us later…
